This overturned vehicle (left) was the result of an accident early Sunday morning near Delta Petroleum gas station in French Quarter, according to information sent to this newspaper. The Gendarmerie could not immediately confirm it, or give any details. Commandant Sébastien Manzoni, however, indicated there was an accident in French Quarter at around midday on Sunday, but not particularly serious. He added on Sunday night there was an accident in Bellevue, where a woman driver, under the influence of alcohol, hit a pedestrian. Fortunately, the pedestrian was not seriously hurt.
