Elderly Hyacinth Nicholson has an unwanted pool in her front yard caused by insufficient measures to channel rain and run-off water from Bay Leaf Drive in Cole Bay after it was resurfaced recently.
Now, the once-wheelchair-bound woman, who is in therapy to regain complete mobility, said she is afraid to walk out of her yard, fearing she may fall and hurt herself in what is now a habitat for tadpoles, and other water creatures. Nicholson wants Government to correct the situation as soon as possible so her quality of life and full accessibility to her yard can be restored. (John Halley photo)
