UD submits list of 11, seeks to be 'stabilising factor'

PHILIPSBURG--The United Democrats (UD) submitted a list of 11 candidates for the January 9, 2020 elections, and is looking to be a "stabilising factor" in the process.

  The UD list is headed by UD Member of Parliament (MP) Sarah Wescot-Williams; #2 candidate is former Minister of Health, Labour and Social Affairs VSA Emil Lee; #3 is former Minister Plenipotentiary Jorien Wuite; #4  is former Finance Minister Perry Geerlings; #5  is former Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications (TEATT) Minister Stuart Johnson; #6 is former two-time President of the Bar Association attorney Remco Stomp; #7 is Conrad Richardson; #8 is Engineer at utilities company GEBE Lucien Benschop; #9 is Secretary in the UD faction in Parliament Shirley Hilaire; #10 is former civil servant in the Justice Ministry Michael Seebaran and rounding off the list at #11 is bus driver Yoan Adams Torre.
