ST. EUSTATIUS/BONAIRE--The Council of Education and Labour Market ROA CN is proud to announce that two members of its staff were awarded the Certificate of Achievement and Statement of Competence for the Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) in Assessment Level 4.

Advisor/Trainer Nancy Persad and Advisor/Trainer Violet Duggins-Gumbs followed the training given on St. Eustatius as part of the transition to the Caribbean system of vocational education.

It is expected that ROA CN will develop into a National Training Agency in support of both the educational institutions and local labour market on Saba and St. Eustatius.

Successfully completing this training is the commencement of the initiatives that will be made by ROA CN for better harmonisation of Vocational Education programmes and the local/regional labour market.

ROA CN is an independent foundation carrying out a legal task to connect vocational education and the labour market within the Caribbean Netherlands. ROA CN recognizes training companies for practical professional training and advises the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science OCW regarding labour market relevance and expediency of education programmes.
