POND ISLAND--Government and civil servants paused for two minutes at 9:06am to reflect on the passing of Hurricane Irma one year ago and on the progress made so far.
Irma was a category five-plus monster hurricane that slammed into the island on the morning of September 6, 2017. She left in her wake widespread devastation, a hole in the tourism-driven economy and billions in damages.
