Toyota donates $10,000 Irma relief for Real Auto staffers

Real Auto staff show thanks to Toyota del Peru.

PHILIPSBURG--Toyota del Peru held a Hurricane Irma donation drive amongst its employees and raised US $10,000 which has been sent to Real Auto St. Maarten, the exclusive Toyota distributor for St. Maarten. The funds are to be divided amongst Real Auto staffers as assistance in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

Real Auto General Manager Felix Nevarez said the company is grateful for the gesture. “We cannot be more grateful for the heart-warming support we have received from our Toyota colleagues. Some of our staff members have been hit really hard by Hurricane Irma, but still came to work and helped clean up and get us operational again. This has been recognised by Toyota and we are happy to give them some extra relief,” Nevarez said.

Toyota has been offering relief and support ever since the passing of Hurricane Irma in September 2017. The support was coordinated by Toyota Motor Corporation in Latin America and the Caribbean Division Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Steve St. Angelo and included an emergency supply of vehicles from Toyota Argentina as well as additional support via the regional Toyota office in Miami, Florida.
