The Acting Chief of Police of the Netherlands and Police Chiefs of Curaçao, the Caribbean Netherlands and St. Maarten met with Minister of Justice Rafael Boasman in the Conference Hall of the Government Administration Building on Tuesday.
Also present during this meeting was Chief Prosecutor for St. Maarten Ton Maan. Boasman was very happy to receive the delegation and expressed his sincere gratitude to all police chiefs there for the support they have given to the local police and the people of the island in the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. This support has been and still is essential in bringing back the sense of safety and security to the community of St. Maarten, he said. He also said he was happy to have witnessed the great working relation between the police officers from Curaçao, Aruba, the Caribbean Netherlands and the National Police of the Netherlands and looks forward in their continued support as country St. Maarten continues to rebuild.
