PHILIPSBURG--Detectives are investigating a case of ill-treatment that took place in the vicinity of Lucky Star Supermarket on A.Th. Illidge Road at approximately 6:15pm Monday.
Police were sent to the scene to investigate what had taken place. On the scene, investigating officers learnt from the victim that he had been seriously ill- treated by a person he does not know who pushed his head through the rear window of a vehicle, causing him to receive cuts and bruises to his head and face from which he was bleeding.
The victim was treated on the scene by paramedics and then transported to St. Maarten Medical Center for further treatment. The reason for this ill-treatment is under investigation.
