The erecting of a fence on this property between Front Street and Great Bay Beach caused quite a stir on Monday. The temporary fence was placed by current property owner Canada-based Sunwing Group. A company official told The Daily Herald: “The temporary fence has been erected for safety and insurance reasons.” This plot of land has been open to the public for many years and was used as a parking lot when the currently closed Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort was open. Indications are that Sunwing is preparing for demolition of the property. However, this was not confirmed by the company official. (John Halley photo)
