TelEm launches new Internet support app

POND ISLAND--St. Maarten Telephone Group of Companies TelEm Group has launched a new Internet support app to better assist customers with home Internet connection problems.

Called “TelEm Support,” the app is available for download on Android and IOS devices. When installed, Helpdesk operators can easily access user’s configuration details and troubleshoot problems immediately.

“The App is a great tool for checking speed and line quality as a first step to determining what problems an Internet customer might be experiencing,” said TelEm Marketing Officer Stephani Jong Loy.

Installing the app is a two-step process: download the app, connect to home Wi-Fi to run a test. A code will be displayed at the end of the test. The code must be given to the Helpdesk when a call is made. Through this code the Helpdesk can access the Internet connection.

“Customers must have a working Internet connection for the app to function correctly,” said Jong Loy.
