BELVEDERE--A teenage boy was killed in a shooting near the basketball courts in Belvedere on Tuesday night.
Sources say the victim and another man had an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. The other man left the scene and returned with a firearm. He fired several shots and wounded the teenage boy.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene, but the boy succumbed to his injuries and died. No other persons were injured.
Police have not confirmed any details behind the shooting.
As of 8:00pm Tuesday, police were seen canvassing the Belvedere area for the suspect and have asked witnesses to come forward. Persons who have any information about the incident are requested to contact police at tel. 1-721-542-2222.
