Study and play ball

Piper Davis Youth Baseball group recently paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Leona Romeo-Marlin and briefed her on their visit to the island.

The group is an Inner-City Baseball Organisation designed to give baseball players an opportunity to grow on and off the field. The group, accompanied by Dr. Rhoda Arrindell is assisting interested local student athletes with opportunities to study at colleges in the United States while playing sports. Arrindell’s United Academy will collaborate with the group to ensure students are adequately prepared before they travel. On the 2019 agenda is the Piper Davis Caribbean Tournament set for June 27-30. This is the fourth time the group has visited the island.
