The Police Corps Caribbean Netherlands will introduce their new operational uniform in Bonaire on April 30. Saba and St. Eustatius will follow in the third quarter of this year.
The basic colour of the new uniform is dark blue, with yellow stripes in the outerwear. The uniform comes with riot squad type pants that have pockets on the thighs, boots and a cap. The current uniform can be considered a formal one with neat trousers. The new version is seen as more suitable for the varied work on the street. The current uniform will remain for colleagues who only work in the office. It is also worn on official occasions and as a representative uniform by all corps members. The Bikers Team also keep their special uniform.
