PHILIPSBURG--Several departments within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport (ECYS) will be closed today, Friday, March 9, in connection with the SXM DOET activities that start today, ECYS Minister Jorien Wuite said in a brief press release on Thursday evening.
The following departments within the Ministry will be closed due to staff participation in SXM DOET: the Culture Department, Sport Department and the Minister's cabinet.
The offices will resume operations as per norm on Monday, March 12. Wuite encourages everyone to volunteer on March 9 and 10 for “this worthwhile initiative.”
