SIMPSON BAY--Operators of the Simpson Bay bridge will resume their scheduled daily openings for maritime traffic as of today, Tuesday. Vessels entering Simpson Bay Lagoon do so at their own risk. All vessels entering are advised to contact their local agent or marina to ensure a safe transit in and out of the bridge channel.
Bridge attendants can be contacted on Marine VHF Channel 12 before entering or departing.
Scheduled Simpson Bay bridge opening times are: 8:30am outbound, 9:30am inbound; 10:30am out, 11:30am in; 3:00pm in, 4:00pm out, 5:00pm in.
The Simpson Bay bridge is fully operational. Damaged parts have been replaced and the bridge was tested and meets all requirements.
An assessment of the causeway bridge was carried out and the Simpson Bay Lagoon Authority is now awaiting a full report with respect to the assessment.
