Sewage project on

The execution of the long awaited Dutch Quarter Sewage Project can now start thanks to the signing of the 4.7-million-euro contract by Prime Minister Leona Romeo-Marlin in Brussels, Belgium, on Wednesday.

The project is funded via the 10th European Development Fund (EDF). Romeo-Marlin signed the contract along with DG DEVCO Latin America and the Caribbean Director Jolita Butkeviciene and Lars Vincken, Managing Director of chosen contractor Van Boekel Bouw and Infra BV. The financing agreement with the European Commission was signed in 2013. Wednesday’s signing marks the end of the detailed planning period and the search for a contractor.
