Second quake at ABC-islands

WILLEMSTAD--A 5.5-magnitude earthquake shook Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao (ABC-islands) in the southern Caribbean off the coast of Venezuela on Friday, but caused no reported damage.

The US Geological Survey said the quake hit just before 10:00am local time, about 40 miles (60 kilometres) southeast of Aruba. It occurred at a depth of a little more than 6 miles (10 kilometres) offshore of the city “La Vela de Coro.”
The tremor was felt as far away as the Venezuelan capital of Caracas and other nearby islands. It followed a smaller earthquake that occurred in the same region just before dawn on Thursday.
