Screwdriver attack leaves young man hospitalised

MARIGOT--A 20-year-old man was stabbed 14 times with a screwdriver by two assailants during an altercation on Monday, the Gendarmerie disclosed.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Rue de Hollande and Rue de Concordia around 11:00am and resulted in a lengthy traffic jam as Gendarmes and emergency services intervened.

According to Capitaine Emmanuel Maignan preliminary indications suggested the victim himself may have caused the attack. One of the two assailants inflicted the stab wounds with the screwdriver.
The victim was taken to hospital to be treated but his life was not said to be in danger. The Gendarmerie is actively searching for the two attackers.
