School bus inspection starts Monday, July 30

PHILIPSBURG--The Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunications (TEATT) Inspectorate School Busing Section reminds school bus owners and drivers about the annual school bus inspection from Monday, July 30, to Thursday, August 2.

School bus owners are asked to contact the department at tel. 520-4064 to make an appointment to have their buses inspected. Buses will be inspected by appointment only.

The inspection will take place on the ring road across from Blue Point in Philipsburg. School bus owners are also asked to be present during the school bus inspections and are required to have their valid documents available.

These documents are a valid driver’s licence for every driver, valid insurance and valid inspection card. The fire extinguisher inspection card must also be valid and in its proper place on the bus. The first aid kit must be in good condition.
