Practical hands-on teaching was the path several teachers from Prins Willem Alexander Primary School took on Thursday during a field trip to the supermarket.
The exercise was aimed at introducing pupils to the way the supermarket works and the foods and other products they can find there. In each section of Carrefour, teachers paused to give pointers and ask pupils if they knew the names of items, quizzed them on a bit of spelling and introduced them to new things.
