Runoff cleared

The Pointe Blanche trench and the surrounding area were cleared of overgrown trees and bushes as well as Hurricane Irma debris this week.

The clean-up comes six months after the worst hurricane in recorded history walloped the island on September 6, 2017, and three months ahead of the next Atlantic hurricane season. The trench channels runoff water from the hills out to sea. Area residents are happy with the clean-up, but urge Government to revisit the trench before June.
