Running red lights

A total of 46 motorists were fined for running a red light in Curaçao during controls at the intersections Schottegatweg Oost/Cas Coraweg and Schottegatweg Zuid/Kaya C Winkel for about two hours each on Wednesday morning. Fines were also issued for not wearing a seatbelt (4), driving without a valid licence (9), lack of an up-to-date inspection card (7), no proof of current insurance (5), too-darkly-tinted windows (3), number plate missing on the car (5), phoning behind the wheel (1) and making an illegal turn (4). Four vehicles were impounded as well.
