ANGUILLA--Roxxy successfully defended her title of Anguilla Calypso Monarch when she won again on Friday evening at the Landsome Bowl. The first runner-up was Gossip, second runner-up was Queen B and third Hot Shot. Nine calypsonians took part in the Calypso Monarch Competition. The other contenders were Mr. Decent, Messenger, Ziggy, Repeater and The Undertaker. Each sang two calypsoes. Roxxy will represent Anguilla at the Leeward Islands Calypso Monarch competition, where she will also be defending the title, due to be held on Saturday, August 12.
