Returning turtle

A sick green sea turtle kept coming ashore a week ago in the vicinity of Mary's Boon Hotel. Nature Foundation was alerted about the plight of the creature and arrived on the scene to find it in a not-so-good shape.

There was talk of people harassing the sea turtle, but none of this was witnessed by the foundation. The sea creature was taken back out to sea by Tadzio Bervoets of the foundation, but she kept turning and heading back to shore. She came back to shore the day after and was again taken back to the water. On Friday, she was back again, this time in the area of White Sands. Bervoets, after a day of racing in the annual Heineken Regatta, took her further out to sea where she swam away faster and stronger.
