Bishop Ellis Foundation for the poor and needy handed out 153 bags of food and basic needs items on Sunday as part of its Hurricane Irma response. Foundation officials said persons who collected bags were not part of their established clientele list, but persons who are in need of aid. The Foundation’s regular clients are able to collect their hampers as scheduled. The Foundation, which was established more than a decade ago, is tasked with providing food and support to persons in need.
