Recruitment Drive on for Customs Officers

ST. EUSTATIUS--The Customs Department Caribbean Netherlands, a part of Tax Administration, seeks to fill several vacancies on St. Eustatius, Saba and Bonaire

  A recruitment presentation on Statia drew some 60 persons, who were eager to hear what it takes to become a member of the Customs Department.

  Customs Officer Lanisa Hogde told the audience: “The work of a customs officer is very fascinating, diverse and no day is the same.”

  Questioned by an audience member on what makes a good Customs Officer, Customs Department Director Nichalin Martina said, “Being passionate about the profession and what it and being a civil servant entails. And act with integrity.”
