Ready to help

A group of businesses on Boardwalk Boulevard took part in an Emergency First Response course at NuLoveSXM restaurant from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday.

The initiative came from Sandra Volard Kruis of FirstAidSXM and NuLove owner Andre Bourelle made his restaurant available as a training location. The participants came from different bars and restaurants such as Kokonuts, Taloula Mango’s, Pina Beach Bar, Dirty Sanchez, Lay Back Grill and Bar and NuLove. “We believe it is important that establishments are prepared for medical emergencies in case something happens to the tourists that visit our island. The Boardwalk is a busy place where thousands of cruise ship passengers arrive on a daily base during high season, so definitely the place for certified Emergency First Responders,” stated Kruis. FirstAidSXM can be contacted via tel. 1-721-556-1202.
