A moist and unstable atmosphere will maintain cloudiness with periods of scattered showers and possible thunderstorms across the local area today. These showers may be heavy at times and may lead to flash flooding in vulnerable areas.
Seas are expected to be above normal at least through Wednesday, due to long period northerly swells invading the regional waters and high winds. The strongest wave action is expected along the northern and eastern coasts of the island. A small craft advisory is in effect. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
