SYNOPSIS:  

A drier air mass accompanied by Saharan dust will limit precipitation during this forecast period. Additionally a weak Atlantic high pressure system will maintain gentle to moderate winds. However, patches of low-level clouds moving in this wind flow may cause a brief local shower at times.

Seas are expected to remain moderate through the next few days.

 

STATE OF THE SEA:  Moderate       
WAVES/SWELLS: up to 5 feet

 

SPECIAL FEATURE:  At 11:00 am today, the center of strengthening Hurricane Dorian was located about 618 miles northwest of St. Maarten and moving further away. Dorian no longer poses a threat to St. Maarten.

 

OUTLOOK through Sunday midday: Partly cloudy and hazy with brief isolated showers possible.
