The retreating upper-level trough that has persisted over the last couple of days has diminished the chance for thunder. However, available low-level moisture will maintain cloudy periods and isolated showers during the early part of this forecast period. Some of these showers may be moderate to heavy. Therefore, residents and users of areas prone to flooding are advised to be vigilant.
Seas are expected to increase slightly, peaking near 8 feet on Saturday and a Small Craft Advisory may be issued later today. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
