SYNOPSIS:

The Atlantic high-pressure system is expected to maintain brisk winds across the region. In addition, an approaching moisture surge will increase the probability of showers during the latter part of this forecast period.
Long period swell are expected to affect local waters during the next 24 hours, hence the high surf advisory for St. Maarten. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution.
