SYNOPSIS:

A low-level trough with its associated moisture and instability has increased the probability of active weather over the Leeward Islands. Though the majority of this activity is expected to remain south of St Maarten; cloudy skies, a moderate chance for showers and low possibility for thunderstorms still exists. Meanwhile, the dominant Atlantic high-pressure ridge will maintain moderate to brisk easterly winds across the region.

Moderate seas are expected with waves peaking up to 6 feet during this forecast period. Nevertheless, small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution.
