SYNOPSIS:
Moisture and instability associated with Tropical Storm Bret, which is passing south of the local region, may trigger isolated showers at times during this forecast period. Additionally, the strong Atlantic high pressure system will maintain breezy conditions through Wednesday.
Moderate to rough seas are expected through the next couple of days, with waves peaking near 9 feet. As a result, the small craft advisory remains in effect for above normal seas. Small craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution.
STATE OF THE SEA: Moderate to Rough WAVES/SWELLS: 6 to 9 feet
SPECIAL FEATURE: As of 11:00am, Tropical Storm Bret had maximum sustained winds of 45 miles per hour. Bret was located 490 miles south of St. Maarten and is forecast to continue moving toward the west-northwest. On its current forecast track, this tropical storm poses no threat to St. Maarten.
