Pre-school recital

The stage of Grand Case Community Centre saw the debut of a number of tiny performers on Saturday morning when pre-school Les Oisllions held its end-of-school year recital. Tiny tots, as young as two-years-old, took to the stage in brightly coloured costumes with their teachers to sing and dance in the show they spent weeks preparing for. The show was not only about having fun on stage, the teachers also used the activity to expose the children to the local culture via music as well as that of Guadeloupe, Tahiti and Madagascar. The children also put their unique mark on the event’s handout with their own drawings and writing. Parents, grandparents and friends packed into the Community Centre and many were eager to see their little ones on stage and to capture the moments on their smartphones. (Rajesh Chintaman photos)
