Police in Anguilla arrest young man for cannabis possession

ANGUILLA--The Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) arrested and charged Daniel Carty (28) of South Hill with possession of 38.2 grams of cannabis, on Friday, December 8.

  He was taken to the Magistrate’s Court on Monday, December 11, and was granted bail in the sum of EC $5,000. He is due to return to court on February 23, 2018, to answer to the charge.

  Meanwhile the RAPF is asking for assistance from the general public in its ongoing investigation surrounding the death of Sulamita Fleming-Concepcion (38) of South Hill, whose body was found at Shoal Bay on Tuesday, December 12.

  The deceased, who was about 5’6” tall, medium built with black hair about shoulder length, also had whitish marks (vitiligo) around her nose and mouth and on her hands, elbows, fingers and feet. She was last seen in the area of the roundabout at South Hill and Sandy Ground, about 12:00 noon on Sunday, December 3. She was wearing long black pants and an orange T-shirt.

  Anyone who may have seen the deceased between 12:00 noon on Sunday, December 3, and 12:00 noon on Monday, December 4, is asked to telephone the Criminal Investigation Department or to speak to any Police Officer of their choice with such information.
