SABA--Officers of the Caribbean Netherlands Police Force KPCN held a scheduled traffic control in Saba on Monday, March 22. In the controls, 114 vehicles were checked at four locations, during which three police reports were issued and a bag with – presumably – marijuana was seized.

Sixteen vehicles were checked at Captain Matthew Livingstone Street in The Bottom, but no violations of the traffic ordinance were noticed.

On Church Street in The Bottom 50 vehicles were controlled. This led to one report for non-payment of the vehicle road tax and one report for a driver not carrying a valid insurance certificate.

Forty vehicles were checked on J.Z. Ridge Road, with one police report issued for non-payment of the vehicle road tax.

In Windwardside, the police checked 16 vehicles and confiscated one bag with what was considered marijuana, KPCN said Wednesday in a report.
