ANGUILLA--Following the serious bullying incident at The Valley Primary School last week, a release from the Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) states that they are working with the Departments of Social Development and Education in the investigation.
Members of the RAPF’s Safeguarding Investigation Unit (SIU) have been working with the other social agencies on the matter. The incident, that involved four male students under 10 years of age, is a social issue. However, the Criminal Code of Anguilla states, “A person under the age of 10 is not criminally responsible for any act or omission.” As part of the RAPF’s involvement, a meeting was convened by officers of the SIU with all the parties involved.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of Police Elliott Forbes is advising members of the public not to make threats to any of the parties involved or members of the teaching staff. “Let’s all work together to find an amicable solution to this situation,” he said.
