Parking regulations in force ahead of Carnival festivities

MARIGOT--The Collectivité informs the public that parking is prohibited in certain areas of the Marigot waterfront ahead of the French-side Carnival launch on Saturday.

Parking is forbidden between La Vie en Rose Restaurant and L’Arawak from 6:00pm this Thursday, February 8, to 1:00am Wednesday, February 14. It is also forbidden to park in the spaces between the lolos and the taxi stand from 6:00pm Thursday, February 8, to 1:00am Wednesday, February 14.

These restricted zones are exclusively reserved for the Carnival committee organisers.

It is also strictly forbidden to sell drinks in glass bottles on the waterfront of Marigot from 6:00pm to 1:00am every evening from Saturday, February 10, to Wednesday, February 14. This also applies to the parking area of Jean-Louis Vanterpool Stadium, Marigot, from 6:00am to 8:00pm Tuesday, February 13.

The rules apply to restaurants located close to the festivities and street vendors intending to sell drinks. The Territorial Police are charged with enforcing these orders.
