Traffic came to a standstill on Welfare Road in Cole Bay on Wednesday afternoon when two cars collided on the street. One vehicle ended upside down causing the passenger to be trapped in his vehicle. Fire Department officials and paramedics rushed to the scene and managed to free the man from the upside-down vehicle.
Traffic was backed up on both sides of the hill because of the accident. No major injuries were reported and the Police Traffic Department is investigating the exact cause of the collision.
