Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure VROMI Minister Miklos Giterson was updated recently on the progress of the home repair programme being implemented by the National Recovery Programme Bureau (NRPB).
Giterson, NRPB Director Claret Connor and Activity Manager Ursel Biabiany visited four of the homes currently under repair in Middle Region, Sucker Garden and Dutch Quarter. The Minister was satisfied with the works done, especially the decision to take into account the individual characteristics of each house and its owner. In addition to the basic scope of works, specific needs of the elderly and disabled are being identified; for example, the addition of wheelchair ramps and broadening of doorways.
