A Senior Citizens String Band Blowout took place Sunday at the stage for Statia Day Week of Activities at Fort Oranje Straat in Oranjestad, St. Eustatius. Master of Ceremonies Charles Lindo, who is also director of the Tourism Office announced local string band The Killy band (in photo), which performed under leadership of Walton “Lord Gene” Schmidt.
The Advent Band from Nevis also performed. Both bands gave the crowd a taste of the Christmas Season as they performed various Christmas songs. Statia Day Week is set to continue today, Tuesday, with a culinary competition during Tourism Night.
