PHILIPSBURG--Businesspersons who would like to contest the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry (COCI) elections in December can be nominated from November 16 to 30, at 12:00pm.
The decision was taken by COCI’s Election Committee, which met on November 7, to discuss the upcoming Chamber election. Nomination forms can be picked up at COCI as of November 16.
The Chamber said in a press release on Monday that due to the devastation caused during the passage of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, COCI will not be posting its eligible voter’s list in the local newspaper and noted that its list is not completely updated. “We advise the voters to visit COCI on the C.A. Cannegieter Street #11 to find out if they are on the eligible voter’s list. The eligible voter’s list will be posted on COCI’s website,” the Chamber said.
