One voter was caught by police Monday snapping a photo of his ballot with a mobile phone during the parliamentary election. A police officer noticed the flash coming from one of the booths and requested that the voter come out and show his phone. The man was instructed to delete the photo showing his ballot with a vote for a candidate of one of the political parties. One of the Civil Registry employees allowed him to go back in the booth and vote again. Central Voting Bureau Chairman Jason Rogers said on Tuesday, “A voter would have apparently taken a picture in the polling station (I will have to find out of what) and the officer there saw that and requested him to delete that picture and ensured that he deleted it.” Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson Hazel Durand said an official complaint was not filed at the Prosecutor’s Office about that incident.
