Members of Parliament’s Committee for Public Health, Social Development and Labour CVSA paid a working visit to the Mental Health Foundation (MHF) facility on Thursday.
MHF is a secondary health care provider which offers psychiatric and psychological services to the inhabitants of St. Maarten and neighbouring islands. The visitors received a complete tour of the building and were given the opportunity to meet persons on the MHF team. Interim Director Eileen Healy explained the various struggles and challenges with which MHF is faced.
