MPs and Lee to debate law on employment contracts today

PHILIPSBURG--Parliament will sit in a plenary session today, Tuesday, with caretaker Labour Minister Emil Lee starting at 2:00pm.


The session is called to handle the adoption of the draft law amending the Civil Code and some other national ordinances in connection with the replacement of the seventh title A of Book 7A with a new title 10 of Book 7 regulations for employment contracts. The meeting was originally scheduled for November 9.
Also on the agenda is the amendment of Article 69 and addition of several new articles to the Rules of Order of Parliament.
The public can attend the Parliament session. Attendees are reminded to have valid photo identification.
The session will be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 120, Pearl Radio FM 98.1, SXMGOV Radio 107.9FM,
