Mikeela Skellekie is Miss Anguilla 2018

Miss Anguilla Mikeela Skellekie.

ANGUILLA--Mikeela Skellekie is the new Miss Anguilla for 2018/2019. Three other contestants competed in the pageant: Pamela Jalle, Keivanee Lake and Crystal Richardson. First runner-up was Keivanee Lake. Skellekie was sponsored by the Comprehensive Learning Centre.

Skellekie won the Best Introductory Speech segment, Best Talent, Best Swimsuit, Best Interview and Best Evening Wear.

Jalle won Miss Photogenic, Best Costume and Best Cultural Wear, and Richardson won Miss Congeniality.

The first prize was EC $10,000 and the first runner-up won EC $5,000. The other two participants were each awarded EC $2,000.

Skellekie is 23 years old and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. She enjoys writing poetry, music, travelling and meeting people. She is a keen debater and was on the debating team of the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School for four years.
