MARIGOT--A 26-year-old man was fatally shot in French Quarter on Monday afternoon, according to the pompiers who were on the scene. The pompiers were called around 2:00pm and found a man dead on the ground from gunshot wounds.
The Gendarmerie has opened a homicide investigation but no further information was divulged. The prosecutor could not be reached by press time.
