LTBB rolls out funny line-up for 13th edition on June 10

COLE BAY--A line-up of funny men and women will deliver some serious laughter at the 13th annual Laugh Till Belly Burst (LTBB) comedy show which will be held under the tent at Princess Port de Plaisance and Casino in Cole Bay on Saturday, June 10.

Unlike previous years, where the show was rolled out over two nights, coordinators have decided to have a compact show on one grand night this year, due to the schedule of the comedians.

On the line-up to perform are: Barbados funny man Snappah; Zimbabwe comedian Alfred Kainga; Jamaica’s Christopher “Johnny” Daley, who was a big hit last year, and who will be back by popular demand; London’s Glenda Jaxson; Toronto’s Marcia Brown and the US’ Jay Lamont. Local “Philosopher of humour” Fernando Clark will be the emcee for the evening.

Coordinators said this year’s show will be extra special. The first show 13 years ago was held on Friday the 13th, and this year happens to be the 13th edition. “It will be unique and special,” coordinators said. “This is a transition year. Everyone is feeling the pinch in the economy, but thanks to some main partners such as Chippie, CC1, Pineapple Pete, Antillean Liquors and Natural Health Centre, we were able to make it possible to have this 13th edition.”

The show will be a versatile mix of culture and comedy. Patrons will be treated to stand-up comedy, a super funny skit and one of the world’s leading impersonators, who can perfectly impersonate multiple celebrities and famous personalities, including former US President Barack Obama, musicians Brian McKnight and Gladys Knights amongst many other famous persons.

In addition to be treated to a great show, patrons will also have a chance to win a number of great give-a-ways on the night of the show, including trips around the Caribbean by Winair, and spa treatments amongst other things. Tickets for the show will go on sale in about a week. Patrons can also look out for special ticket sale promotions from United Telecommunications Services’ (UTS’) Chippie.

The show is being sponsored by UTS Chippie, Pineapple Pete, Antillean Liquors, CC1 and Natural Health Centre.
