Leona in Curaçao for govt. meetings

WILLEMSTAD--Prime Minister Leona Romeo-Marlin is in Curaçao for meetings with that country’s government.

Her visit, which started on Wednesday, comes after she and Curaçao Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath had discussions while in Brussels, Belgium, in February. They were both in Europe for meetings of the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs) of the European Union (EU).

Romeo-Marlin will talk to Curaçao ministers about its bureau for integrity, institutional strengthening, financial management, health care and the relationship with the EU. She will also discuss with Rhuggenaath the reestablishment of structured cooperation and collaboration between the two countries within the Dutch Kingdom.
