Irma kids stories

Foresee Foundation and the ArtsCrafts Café Foundation presented Parliament Chairwoman Sarah Wescot-Williams with “Stories of Irma through the Eyes of St. Maarten Children.

” A total of 185 drawings, stories and poems were received from 12 schools. The artwork depicts the children’s experiences during and after Hurricane Irma. Presentations were made by Chari Brown of Helmich Snijders Hillside Christian School, Taliyah Williams of Seventh-Day Adventist School and Guerline Masson of St. Joseph School. St. Maarten Academy student Jireh James assisted the foundations. “It was a beautiful and touching sample of our children's emotions, fears and hopes,” said Wescot-Williams.
